Bon oh Bon, can't believe the shit luck you have with M. think they should be more reliable than that. i kinda know a SR with manual box going quite cheap. how about Clarkey's spare engine or is it gone?? let me know if need help, you know where i am. don't give up just yet.
 
Eye come on bon dont quit just SR the BM you know it makes sense might not sound as sexual and its a bit wrong but it'll work and thats the main thing.

You'll find something if you look hard enough. There was a fire damaged long engine on eGay a little while ago, only the ancillaries damaged. it might still be about.
 
Bad news - I knew how down I felt when I dropped a piston due to over boost :wack:

Get the car in the air and drop the sump and have a gander at the big ends - the engine may not have shat a rod and it may have just spun a bearing, it sounds more likley.

If the rod had failed it would a serious mess. Spun bearing the engine can sound like a bag of spanners but its still fixable. Thankfully bearings are nice an soft so they take all the impact and damage.

Bad luck feller! It may still be repairable an you could be back on your feet - stay chirpy! :thumbs:

I reckon the same! Probably just spun a bearing like a mo fo. When they just pick up they're failrly quiet and knocky, but when they go properly they're loud as fook! Just got to get the engine out and have a look. Speculation will get you nowhere! Mr Camaro Mike has a spare engine stand. Might lend it if I ask nicely! Do it yourself in your parents garage innit!
 
SR it Bon. :nod:.. If I manage to sort out this spare engine for my S14, you can have the spare I've already got and pay me in a year or something if you want. We can't have you giving up now dude.
 
Thats right asshole. Get it sorted, strip the engine at the very least or stick an SR in.
 
yeh sr is good, i threash the fook out of mine and it hasnt blown up in 2 years, i am about to find out how one fits anyway as i am putting one in moffits coupe, aswell as my own car if i ever build it
