Me and my fellow Jong-il, along with cracker and bro appreciate the finer things in life, such as the days when racing was awesome.

They contained one or more of the following ingredients:

A moustache, tuckin' loy', more power than grip, a H-pattern box, spectators in the road or your uncle Daves shopping car slammed with some Clarion stickers on it.

Glad someone posted this , I've got about 20gig of video from 1950-1999 of awesome races on the pc at home!!!

That is what's lacking, commentators really make stuff. British stuff got gay as soon as Murray Walker stopped. Oz commentators make me laugh :wack:

YES.

P11 supertourers were the nuts, they had just started to get gay (dropped/reversed head engines, sequentials etc) but were still amazing and resembled road cars. Wicked wicked cars!

Is anyone else a little excited about BTCC this year?

I know modern racing shouldn't be mentioned on this thread, but the thought of big saloons and turbos coming back is exciting. Looking forward to seeing the VTEC Turbo Civics.

Nah, turbo'd stuff was only cool when it was 500bhp and RWD.

These will still be mostly gay FWD 300bhp stuff. I think it was the drivers and stock looking cars that made the 90's stuff cool, despite being essentially the same platform. BTCC is still by far some of the best racing though.

i have to say this sitting on sunday afternoons seeing the touring cars and f1 on the box with my dad was awesome as a kid and as for mansel he's a nutbar on the track, racing had gone to pot in the uk such a shame :(
