Wanted WANTED: Bee R rev limiter

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, since I have a CA18det engine (with 4 independant coil thingies) I can't use an omex rev-limiter :( So it's the Bee*R for me after all ! Unless I could find a way to join the coils with a diode or something...

nooooo, what i said was, i THINK it's exactly the same. but after some investigating it clearly wasn't. the omex still is the better rev limiter imho, but not for the ca18/rb motors...

Cant remember how many wires, very simple tho, just sits inline before ecu. couple of bullet connectors and job done in half hour.

Got mine s/h but was like new.

thanks for the comment and it's nice to see you loving it. it's weird that i've been advertised it for 2 months before and nobody notice it.

i think my mate may have a 2nd hand one if it's not sold. it's for EVO VII but it's the same for TOYOTA and Nissan.

I had one fitted to my GTR, but when it was on Abbeys dyno it showed it was limiting to 6,400 when it was set to 9,000 so we disconnected it, I'm gonna check how we fitted it and give it another go.

yeah Bee*R will bang without a BOV. the bigger the bang, the bigger the damage to your turbo :) Bee*R is more of a flame kit than a rev limiter if u ask me...

I don't think they are for show at all, they do what they were designed for, limit the revs, I've got one fitted as with the the Blitz ecu there is no rev limit and anything over 8,000rpm damages the engine and it gets there so quick I needed something to stop it! Sure there are better designed limiters, aren't there always.
I've heard these limiters damage the engine, but nobody has ever said why, could you explain then I can decide whether to reconnect it or not! :D

Cheers

jord wouldn't it be better to set the limit as 6400? as that's were max power is on JDM Q's and K's. After 6400 you've got no power curve.

 If you limit the engine at peak power then the revs are way too low when you hit the next gear. You want to run a little past peak power in order to be nearer to it in the next gear. Sure, power drops off after peak output, but the engine is still delivering the goods.

yes a fucking wicked bit of kit had one on my 180sx i sold.
i would sit at lights rev it and watch it flame on the novas behind me.....funny thing is not many people know about them and they are still alot of money s/h in japan  i want another one....stamps his feet
