weston super mare drift day, Book now!!

alright mike, is that neal, as in knight, with his slightly modified round mint??

It is knighter but I am trying to convince him to bring a BMW as Im not convinced he'll be happy spending out on a drift day only for his Polo to be crap at drifting or for it to pack up. It needs development somewhere a bit quieter and cheaper really.

Not gonna make it tomorrow.

It's just too wet. Makes the trek kinda pointless as a spectator/photographer..

The rain is really not making me look forward to tomorow!

If its light and for short i dont mind....but if it stays the way it is now I'm not going to be happy (until of course i get out on the track :D)

I'm now packed up...will only be bringing 8 tyres as even if it stops raining, the track id imagine will be soaking.

Dangan, I'll be heading straight there, unless you want to meet somewhere on the m4/m5?

See you all in the morning

PS: Are you going to have a sign after the football field? Reason I ask is there is a turn off to the left opposite the football field and after it, which one is the one to take?

PPS: for anyone with satnav's, the postcode for the stadium/football field/area is BS24 9AA according to the web

As i can work out, its into the main industrial estate directly opposite the footie ground (you go through some red and white barriers). But it should be signposted on the main winterstoke road, and also down to the entrance of the airfield. Where there will be a gate-person waiting to give further instructions!

QUICK FINAL CHECK - PLEASE READ

As a quick check for you all to read before the day (instead of trawling through loads of posts!!!). I have spoken to Alex and these are the important last minute things you need to know!

For passengers (well drivers too but i'm sure you already know!) bring helmets, wear long sleeves and full legged trousers, and flat shoes. This is for YOUR safety.

Arrive before 9.30am as briefing will start then.
Drifting starts at 10.00am.
Finish time is 4.00pm - this is the cut off point (land owners orders)

Tyre changer van - confirmed
Burger van (MOST IMPORTANT!) - confirmed
Toilets are back in the industrial estate.

The entrance is a business park, it has a black and white gym, with koi carp murals on it. Lots of speedbumps and many holes in the road. If you are travelling with the shell (I think) garage on your left, then you go over the bridge, and it's the left after the car sale place. the otherway round, its on the right.
