XMAS SPECIAL.....OPEN PIT LANE DRIFT DAY.... LYDDEN HILL.... £99 7th Jan

Super excited about this and staying positive although I have to say a little concerned about numbers!

Realistically when is the rough cut off date on bookings where we can say that the date will definately go ahead as long as weather etc permits?

If we get less then the 30 people and everyone agrees to it. Ensuring the day goes ahead without making a loss i wouldn't mind paying extra to cover it. I.E only 25 people, so short of 5X£99=£495/25 = £19.8 extra each.

What a nice refreshing attitude towards the day, but i hope it wont come to that, If everyone brings a passenger or 2 that always bumps up the amount on the day.

Cut off date will be 1st jan

Hero of The Day Comp

Right so this is now sorted, It will be judged by the marshalls and staff at lydden, They wont be looking for the best drivers but the person that has provided the most entertainment and appears to be having the most fun to them, so u could spend all day spinning/hitting walls but be really entertaining with it and win.

The Winner gets half price day next time out at lydden and will be announced on this thread a day or 2 after the event.

The idea is to promote fun on the day, and it gives novice drivers a hope of winning something, theres plenty of serious comps for who drives best/most smoke/speed/etc etc but nothing that a newbie drifter could win or is just there for fun.

There is no extra cost for this, everyone that is on track is eligable to win, (excluding me, that would be a bit unfair)

Thoughts below please.:)

i can do santa pod without spining easily , so i am looking for a faster track or something different for some change :)

Its the perfect stepping stone from pod to bdc level circuits, we had a couple of boys out last time who'd never been drifting before by the end of the day they were linking sections of the track, the cicuits fairly wide and the devils elbow corner gives you a chance to pull massive handbrake entries without fear of smashing it to pieces, if you linking pod you'll have no troubles here, 1 corner is even 4th gear if u got the ponies

Great example of what could win the hero of the day, bog standard supra owes him £300, knows hes not the best car/ or the best driver but he's having a proper go at it and having the time of his life.....

Devils elbow corner is at 43 secs
