XMAS SPECIAL.....OPEN PIT LANE DRIFT DAY.... LYDDEN HILL.... £99 7th Jan

AMAZING EPIC day. Sooooo much seat time, yet my 22year old bm has survived for another day.

I did get through 18 tyres tho, had to send my mate to my house at 12noon cos i was on my last pair!

Organisation was great, marshall were great on the flags, no major mishaps and anytime there was a red flag it seemed to be dealt with within 5 mins.

Thanks to ALL lydden hill staff for allowing this to happen and thanks to EVERYONE else for making this a great day.
 
First thing, :worthy: to lezbrucelee; as much as everyone said Drifting at Lydden had been stopped, no chances getting back... everyone has tried even professional organisers etc... Man this guy some how done it :worthy: Legend! :smokin:

Organisation was fantastic, Marshalling was awesome, flags bang on it :thumbs:

Recovery time was great as I found out on more then one occasion :smash: :o :D


Awesome track, tyre munching!!! fair plays to the tyre guy trying his best to keep up, not sure if he was expecting that much work!! :smash:

I had great fun, what its all about for me... great chilled atmosphere with cool company, bit of banter too of course :nod: ;)

You're very welcome, I'm pleased to hear that it allowed you to carry on enjoying an absolutely awesome day! The Starion WILL be at the May date (hopefully it'll be up & running much sooner than that) & a replacement jubilee clip would be great if you can!
It's so pleasing to read everyone's praise & thanks to the organisers, the marshals, the atmosphere etc & I'd like to echo it...it was an absolutely superb day.

Not to take it away from Lez at all ( top guy ) but think your getting it confused with Lydd Kart track which is down this way too matey:nod:.

Lydden Hill has never stopped drifting its just never had the input or want for the event many years of ppl saying theyll do it then pulling out iv drifted Lydden hill a few times over the past 3 years.

But again lez has done a top job of getting the open pit lane and the drive to get these drift days up and running again so hats off to him :thumbs:

couldnt make this one due to car being of road i will be at the next one :nod:
 
Cant wait for the next day even thinking i might go to the sessions day, lydden is an awesome track and a good atmosphere, whens is the next date ?
