Jon im sure that CA will be amazing when you actually used the car for drifting again. its only been 2 years off the road.

WTF has happened here? Post this thread a year ago and it would have been full of hatred and vitriol for the CA, now suddenly its better than an SR?
Fickle bastards. :D

found a better picture of my engine bay :)

I love CA's thats why i used one in my 96 180 kouki. Im currently forging one to run more power, but have only ever killed one, which only started breathing so technically didnt die but had 100k on it and abused for year and half with almost every drift day present at 1.2bar banging limiter in 3rd most of the day.lol.

The one that in my 180 at the moment is good as gold and has taken a beating almost every weekend plus drift days.
Engine spec in car so far is:
GT2871R .64ar
Z32
Tomie cams 256
Sard 600cc inj
Tomie GTR fuel pump
Apexi PFC ap engineering
Greddy Profec B Spec2
Apexi 3" full system inc front pipe and decat.
FPR
Apexi filter
Z32 Fuel filter
52mm Alloy rad
19row oil cooler
6 Greddy gauges Oi temp/Pressure, water temp, Boost, EGT & Fuel pressure.
Mapped at 1.0 bar 311BHP cant remember torque.

This is all thats left to do unless someone has any suggestion:
Baffled and Winged sump and modified pick up pipe,
Change the breather system around abit,
750cc inj or bigger for the new engine.

Will get some pics over the weekend, but keep the info coming, loving this thread.

I take it there pon cams dude if so were did you get them form? that something Ive been looking into seams worth while tbh, mines a similar spec to that minus the cams, what did you do with the breather system Ive compression tested mine and its running 150 across yet did a boost leak test and its coming through my catch can, looked into it and my breather system still has i think its the PVC valve or summit and apparently if that fails that's probably my problem ? also the actual turbo like on the inlet bolt on jobber how would i go about sealing that is it a gasket or? that's my niggling problems right now aha.

I think the majority of people will just run chips, what's the point in buying a prohibitively expensive ecu when you can get power up to what a stock ca's internals will take using a cheap alternative chip.

If you want a mid range option, I'd imagine a Nistune would be fine aslong as a decent mapper is used

I use a PFC on mine. Its for an SR20 but I (with help) modified the loom to make it work on a CA.

It was a long time ago so I dont remember the details but I had to swap the ecu plug for one from an S14A as that matched the RedTop SR ECU and move a few wires around on the plug so that sensor inputs/outputs went to the right place in the ECU. That was about it. I very roughly set it up via the hand controller so it was driveable and then got it mapped properly.

i imagine it would be a similar process to when you modify the ca loom on an sr conversion or am i way off?

It was just the plug that needed changing, the entire car and engine loom is the same as normal.

have to see if i can find a wiring diagram or something to go off. So redtop apexi pfc and a uk blacktop sr ecu plug?
