can we have nitrous injection allowed for next year?? please??

Yes.

Personally I would use it in conjunction with a big turbo an use a boost cut on the gas, so its there for throttle response not power adding basically, the turbo can do that "for free"
i
i see, so if your a n/a competitor and compete in the whole series etc, it might be worth while gettin itb's? instead

Does that mean edc allows it then? Eurodrift doesnt afaik.

As for nitrous, i dont see why anyone cant use it. Quite a few drivers, specially proper 86's in japland do in comps.

And the majority of n/a cars that compete in the big series are pretty much tuned to the hilt anyway incl itbs.

If you are an N/A competitor, your best option would appear to be to turbo it!

But if you are going to stay N/A then its probably worth doing a mix of nitrous and cams/headwork etc

Right, dude, you need to stop posting 200 replies a day to threads you know nothing about... You seem like a nice enough guy, but I'm getting a barrage of complaints, and calls to ban you :wack:.
You are more than welcome to stay here, but please do more reading than posting in the future. Same goes for Kyle GTR.

:smash:

GOD HATH SPOKEN!!!

DW Bible, Book of Phil, Paragraph 3, Line 8.:wack:

nitrous seems to work bloody well on the droop '86. Between 270-300bhp on the giggle gas from a 1.6 4AGE is pretty good going.

or you can just fit an F20c and be done with it LOL.

im not speaking from experience or anything resembling knowledge but the safety regs for eurodrift are not so tight. I would assume introducing nitrous would require more fireprooferizing

From the 2008 rules for ed.

Nitrous Oxide is not permitted.

Yes but surely no more then a firewall that you would have if using a fuel cell etc???

Following on from what Mr Ian said, the 4age responds really well to Nitrous, gassed up a mk1 mkr2 and even on small jets the performance difference was night and day.

The only reason some racing series etc ban it is because they simply dont really understand it. As for nitrous being cheating .... thats just gay! :D

"Nitrous oxide, dinitrogen oxide or dinitrogen monoxide, is a chemical compound with chemical formula N2O. Under room conditions, it is a colorless non-flammable gas, with a pleasant, slightly sweet odor and taste. It is used in surgery and dentistry for its anaesthetic and analgesic effects, where it is commonly known as "laughing gas" due to the euphoric effects of inhaling it; its oxidative effects also make it popular in motorsports, where it is known commonly as "nitrous" or "nitro boost".

for firewalls the requirement is the same as for petrol - there needs to be an effective firewall between the fuel and the driver but Nos itself does not need a seperate firewall.

On its own Nos is not dangerous - unless you had both a nos AND a fuel leak so in a perfect world you could have a firewall between the fuel and Nos tanks

IMHO the biggest potential danger from using it is not installing the bottle well enough and getting cracked round the head with a loose bottle or from the extra power overcoming driving ability and the resulting impact:D

Indeed, or potentially if you got really unlucky, from the cylinder going off like a grenade if it got whacked hard enough, thats highly unlikely though.
