Yesterday saw my first drift event of 2017. Sun was out, it was warm up Jurby, many many cars were there.
The car has transformed with the new suspension setup and hubs. Literally night and day. Worth every penny. The little 4 pot gets a bit warm after a while and I binned my window switches so having the heaters on max only works for a while before we start to cook inside.
Anyway...
Got my confidence up with the car then ended up doing some fun driving with a few of the others.
Which nearly ended up in a bump do to my inability to drive... I'll post a video soon.
Onboard at the end of the day. Was finding lots of my tyres delam'ed fairly quick after only one or two runs on them....
And the obligatory "we did some skids" selfie from the better half.
Overall a great day, the compact didn't let me down at all. I'll post more photos / videos as the come up. Thanks to everyone for standing out there taking them!

I've got a 6 pot lined up from a 323, but I'm going to hold off until the end of the season to drop it it. I know if I start midseason I won't drive again until the next year....
It's only small grass roots drifting over here, so plenty of seat time now the events are getting more regular.
Photos are starting to appear now.

Thanks man. Not really any updates. I've done another couple of drift days since the last photos. Been playing around with the suspension settings and it's getting better and better. Needs paint and I'll be pretty much done. I'd like a 6 banger & hydro, but for now I can drive it reasonably so don't see the point of changing it!

So another drift day happened on Sunday. The scene is really picking up now with some mega looking cars. Mine drives pretty well, flat out in 3rd, twinning etc. Super easy to drive, super reliable, it just needs paint.....

I bought this and collected it on a saturday - that same weekend another lad from the island had set off to collect his from London and arrived back on the tuesday. After many friends sending me many photos of this other chaser on island I bumped into him and had a chat.

More seat time, copious amounts of seat time & even more seat time again. Spent most of the day out in big trains and trying to get close it was a great success with massive 8 car trains on the go!
4 up in a stripped out compact.... it felt slow!
Fred had a drive - bit different to his free fiddy.
