Awesome picture, its looking real good on the zigens :smokin:

IMG_3539-vi.jpg

Sucks about the turbo kit, whereabouts are you in surrey now?

Good work on the ultralite deal though

Ahh reigate, I've been to epsom on the piss a few times but never had the pleasure of reigate!

I'm now going to leave DW until those rims are sold so I dont get tempted :smash:

TODAYS PLAN:

Go to local tyreman James to ake tyres off hte zigens :(

then
create interior pull cable panel and fit cables
elect cut off mounting
catch can installation
fire extingiusher mounted and plumbed in
fit and mount external pull cables.

sell things as buyers show up

I then need to figure out how to wire up the cutoff once all done.

oh and all this in the rain. Joy Joy Joy

Todays update: Final weekend push ( saturday)

Right the final weekend. The big push.

I had such a mixed week of shittyness and then gainin a sponsor, i decided to just 'go for it' and get it to a skidable state that matched Regs and just do what I can at round 1.

For this, I needed supplies:

:D:D:D

Ok so spent the morning sorting the zigens for sale.
removed htem from the car and temporarily put the rays on the back:
DSC01954.jpg

OFFSET POLICE!!!:smash::euge:

Drove to my tyre man and got him to 'carefully' remove the rims.. Then came back home, cleaned them up properly and packaged them up for smudge.

Time to crack on wiht my huge list.
Firstly I decided to attack one of the jobs I hate, mounting the external cables and all that jazz. I removed the skuttle panel thingy, mocked up the positions.. ish.. and then got irritatted with feking about and loosing time.. and just got them mounted in.

DSC01956.jpg

they are close, but they work, they arent covered by the wipers and you can pull each individually. Job done.

doesn't look like much but that was a time eater.. sorting the cables into the cabin and engine bay and crap..

so I had a pickme up:
DSC01957.jpg

Moved into sorting the interior.

Fitted my new gearstick after the chavs robbed my other one:
DSC01959.jpg

cheers doug. :smokin::smokin:

Finished fitting the rollcage padding and also mounted the fire extingiusher:
DSC01958.jpg

USUALLY I mount it behind my seat, but the harness bolts are in the way on an FC, so it had to go in center. Personally I think it looks bad-ass. But I'm hoping it doesnt get in the way when I drive.

Next I went and fabbed up a center console plate thingy..

Bare in mind this is first time ive done something like this and all i had was a rivet gun, a drill and a grinder.. i managed to produce this:
DSC01960.jpg

DSC01962.jpg

Again this was a time eater.. gettin measurements by guess and pen marks etc..
I know its not amazing but I left loads of space for more switches that I plan on in the future, AND I had to cut a slot to allow clearance of the Hydro as its mounted so close. :smash::smash:

but yeah overall Im happy.

Final jobs were sorintg the pull cables to the extingisher (you can se this in teh previous pic), sorting out other niggles around the cabin and finally mocking up the kill switch:
DSC01963.jpg

Tomorrow mornign Im going trye hunting with Ceffy and Lightning, then in the afternoon I need to fit catch can, wire up the cut off, fit the BDC gfx (afer cleanign car) and several refitting of trimming and all that shit.

stilll leaves loads to do during the week (knuckles if poss, rims, tyres, spacings, graphics and more) tho.

Todays update: Final weekend push ( Sunday)

An early rise of 6.15am!!! on a sunday is evil.. but we were hunting part worns hur hur hur.. :wack:

And Finally the fruits of our forraging:
DSC01973.jpg

DSC01976.jpg

DSC01978.jpg

We had over 80- tyres between the three of us..
DSC01979.jpg

and had room for LOOADS more, but we all ahd to get back to carry on building the BDC cars.. cept ceffy as he still doesnt have his!:smash:

So after the drive home and some tyre unloading... Back at base and back to work..

Did some small jobs on the interior with trim and crap and began to mock up the path of the extinguisher piping. Gave up as I needed another union so decided to crack on with the livery.

washed(ish) the car... yes washed it! And aquirred the help of my lovely assistant. :p Together we mocked up the sunstrip giving the most visability but not effecting hte actual print (unlike my s14 last yr!!! :smash:)
DSC01981.jpg

DSC01982.jpg

DSC01983.jpg

The sunstrip was surprising easy this time round lol.. the Door card however..

that was more fun.. no matter where we positionined it.. i wasnt happy it was straight or in the right position to allow for future gfx...
DSC01984.jpg

DSC01986.jpg

and after more minor battels with the assisant.. she voiced her opinion on my positioning issues:
DSC01985.jpg

:wack::D

anyway after all the mucking about we got this:
DSC01988.jpg

which I was happy with and thought sweet... job done.. till looking on DW tonight and remember there is supposed to be a fabricage graphic above the door card....oops! :o:smash::smash:

Will sort another tomorrow night or at Donny. Anyway.. did more fettling with catch can, cut off and other small jobs..
Fitted a new shiney bit too:
