Few points:
1 -> Car made regs thanks to a massive push by myself friday night fitting tow eyes and gfx in the pissing rain.:smash: and GmasterT saturday morning wiring the cut-off right before scrutineering :worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:

2 -> Car survived in one piece both engine wise and bodywork wise.

3 -> I sucked. wrong mindset, not enough balls, not enough familiarity with car... whatever the reason, I only got a very dissapointing 16th place.

The feedback from judge(s) was I was too slow, I didn't need to brake to unsettle car and held slow speeds shallow angles through the track. :( :euge: Pics around the net show decent (in my mind) angle and distance from clipping points.. but who am i to grumble. 16th spot in a car i built in 5 weeks. meh. still not happy with myself.

on a good side:

2 new 'full' sponsors soon to be announced that will effect this car bit time.
.
.
.
.
so car is now going to be changed massively.
Something Evil this way comes...

and to boot. The driver is changing, my mindset altered. Judges want aggression.. lets see shall we..

see you at llandow.

good luck phil, hopefully round 2 will prove more successful.
shame to see you're not using the wheels, still, onwards and upwards!

new toys on their way already. :smokin: Tomorrow night i will be able to give more info on some of the changes.

But not all of them. ;)

Time for a long overdue update..

The weekend didnt see much being done to the Rx7 as a whole, but..

Saturday: no photos, but i got the door cards butchered and put back on, a bunch of interior trim back in to tidy it up, sorted out a few niggles here and there and that was about it.

I generally spent most of the day sorting out parts, cleaning out the garage from the pre-BDC rush and just sorting things out as a whole.

Sunday:

Sunday I spent with team green further butchering poor old Yoshi.

It was really quite sunny and during the day it became some what of a group event: :wack:
pics to descibe some of the story...

Then after the weekends efforts, I switched my focus back to the FC..

so after announcing my (our teams) new sponsor, I got a few new parts for the FC..

so I was very happy as this allows me to widen the track to provide clearance.. in the quest for even MORE lock (to waste :p )

but it didnt stop there for me!

I can TOP the announcement of EPRacing... with the next announcement.. with my biggest personal sponsor to date.

After a few long phone calls, I went for a meeting with a sponsor last thursday. Off the back of a good 2 hour discussion and reaching an AMAZING deal.. It was time for the FC to move house. Temporarily though mind! :p

Today after work I loaded up the FC with all my spare bits and headed to the future.. the cars going for MAJOR heart surgery.

oh yes!!!! :smokin: :smokin:

I can Officially announce Hayward Rotaries as the Head sponsor for the FC in the 2009 season. I am very proud and very happy to say the least. I cannot thank Carl and his team enough even now at this super early stage. Hayward are doing so much for me in such a trunkated timetable. They refuse to rush anything, so instead are putting in extra hours just to do the work properly and in time.

what work you say?? Oh.. a lot...
and much much more. :D

The Aftershot:
-coming soon-
;)

While the car is there its going to be a challenge for the guys due to the severe lack of time they have to produce the end reults BUT i have full faith and cant wait!

I will be going there to do even more work each weekend, including even more bodywork changes, arch modifcations, FINALLY fit the JTP.com spec knuckles and spacers and some cleaning up of the interior.

Oh yeah...
Did I mention a touch of Vinyl magic from Si@SJS squeezed in somewhere?! ;)

Something. evil. this. way. comes.

wow man that is truly amazing :D
congrats!! :D

lol I'm so jelaous... the only way to build something like that in my country is that if you are your own sponsor... you guys have so much of stuff going on there... you can rly choose what you want to do :)

Dude!

That's awesome. Not checked on this in some time now. Good to see it's really coming together.

Oh, and congrats on the new sponsors, that's a real turn up for the season.
