Green is fine. You can still apply some clearcoat with glitter for effect afterwards.
But the threespoke wheels would perfectly fit you car with polished lip and white spokes.

I will take your projekt as a guidline for my FC. Nice Work.

Todays update: (19/03/2009)

Part One: lunchtime update.

For once I got up pretty early after forcing myself not to work past 3am on code and trolling DW. This meant we have the builds first ‘lunchtime update’

I started the day by stripping out the seats (easier said than done!) and then cleaned up a lot of the free floating crap in the chassis.

Then I got a lot of this:

and a bit of this:

and made this:

I tell ya.. roll cages are BASTARDS to paint.. so was dreading the next bit.. but then im not after a photo-perfect or show-n-shine finish.. so bring on the overspray, the drips, the flow lines and more.

Those with heart problems or of a weak disposition lookaway now..

:wack:

Pics as usual dont do the colour justice..
BUT
Makes my paint job look alot better.. so its a double edged sword.

Viper snakeskin green. (metal flake).. or as close to it as u can with a Halfords mix-up-on-the-spot jobbie.

There was unfortunately some victims in the battle:

lol royal wait till this evening (long as weather holds).

@valo: you'll have to ait and see.. but logically would I have shown you if it was?

Thats about 2 million times better job than I managed on my cage in about 2 million times the time, so well done.

I like the green! Rest of the interior going the same colour?

Think I'm going to jack your cling film idea when I do mine :D

naa.. just a borin satin black, but should make the green stick out more.

you have no idea how meanyt people have said that now. Been on the phone to a few peeps and all said same. :p

Nail vanish remover should get it off without damaging the glass, I think..

Best try it on a small area first and see what it does

Some standard thinners should remove the paint wil a bit of elbow grease, iff not use a razor blade:thumbs:

Good work:thumbs:

get a new stanley blade and scrape it off the glass. hold the blade almost flat too the glass as if your shaving it,
comes off in seconds and doesnt scratch the glass

looking good fella, the cage colour looks good against the red, shame your gonna lose it.

a lil tip, rattle can paint/lacquer isnt very hardwearing and will scratch up in no time. you ideally need to run over all your hard work with a cellulose/2K lacquer to make it hardwearing.

Best thing for getting overspray off glass is wire wool, we used to use it when valeting to get grinder debri ect off new car windows.

FC is looking great... hope mine looks close to as good when finished...

That looks awesome maaan! The colour looks spot on, the best thing halfords did was mess up the other colour so you had to get this!

Wire wool will get it of the glass.
