Mine are all completely fubared...

Cant find them in the shop, but ive been told you do a wasted spark kit? Believe bon bon's runnning one, Wills just got one from the states..

Got them in stock? Dunno how much longer i can live with the coils doing about as much as a chocolate dildo would in my engine bay...

:dw:

I told you lad, about £150 for the complete DW kit, including the 10mm posh custom plug leads.

Buy it and say goodbye to your weak and inconsistent coil-on-plug woes.

I'll help you fit it too lad. You need it ASAP. Your coils are fucked.

oo tell me more on these!! they sound very interesting!

They're AMAZING!

Original RB Coils are getting-tired now so start producing weaker sparks causing misfires. New coils from Nissan are stupid money, even aftermarket Splitfire coils are around £350, but they are still mounted in the intense heat of the head spark plug cavity, so will breakdown again due to the high temperatures.

The DW kit allows the BRAND NEW supplied coilpack to be mounted away from the intense heat, so better consistencey of firing and longer life. The leads are custom made 10mm triple-core I think, with enough length to mount the coilpack somewhere sensible.

Just requires some simple wiring to the coil loom and then she's a good'un. The difference it made to Bon's car was unreal from the moment we started her up... so much easier to fire and much smoother idle. Much better response too over the 10+ year old Nissan coils.

Just want to jump on this thread to get updated on when they're available. A local lad could use some on his GTR...

cheers Mr Will
you're 99% spot on, the leads are quadruple-core :D

We've been waiting till we're totally satisfied that the solution works well. Now I've got my car 100% sorted running them (and it's savage now, I love it :D) and we've had them running on a couple of other cars, we're cool to go ahead with this :)

You're looking at £145 inc vat for a kit that includes:
  • a 6 cylinder, 3 channel external coil pack
  • a set of 6 high quality 10mm 4 core HT leads
  • some wire to link it all in
  • universal mounting bracket kit (basically a couple of metal strips with holes in and a handfull of nuts and bolts)
  • full instructions

I'll aim to get some pics, the mounting bits and bobs and get the kit in the shop by the end of the week :)

Give us a shout if you're in a fix and need one sooner and I'll see what we can do

Im in a fix.. I need them sooner :D LOL

Well, maybe i can wait a week....

Let me know mate, and ill send you some cash over :)

Hehe sorry JR, how foolish of me to think they were mere feeble triple-cores :o

Man-leads innit.

id say theese will be alot better as the coils are away from the heat,
james im persuming there will be a 4 cylindersr option too around the same money? what make are the coils out of interest?

They won't be any better than Splitfires, but will be just as good and last longer (due to not being mounted in an oven), as well as costing like £200 less hahaha.

I guess there could be a 4-cylinder option, but it'd need to be with a coil pack that suited the application, ie charge times, output etc. If SR20/CA18 coil requirements are similar to that of the RB engines, then you could use the DW RB kit, but just hook up 2 of the 3 coils, leaving the other channels out of the loop.

Im very interested in this kit.... Really like the idea of 200pounds cheaper than the splitfire ones

The Skyline will be leaving japan 2moro/today.. (yahoo)

A pic of the kit installed would be good, just to get an idea of how it looks?

As far as im aware, only really james and Bon Bon have it set up yet, with Will getting a similar kit from the states... As soon as i get them if theres not been any pics ill stick some up no doubt

I also had the same set up on my skyline from driftworks :)

It is far better then the splitfire as its actualy a wasted spark set up so there are big gains over the stock set up.

Do it best thing i ever did :)

Clarkey.

Any more info on these?????? or pic?????

James. smap same front bumper.... eh what size wheels u running

subscribing to this thread. If the misfire mine has developed turns out to be coils looks like I'll be buying some :wack:
