Sam's new Drift car. JDM haters stay away :)

A few points and questions if I may....

1.) Whats the rectangle on the passenger side of the new dash?
2.) I like where you've put the cut off switch, you robbed my a/c idea, I may rob that.
3.) Whats the details on the doovd player? Is it built into the screen?
4.) You'll probably change your mind about moving the A/C half way through extending the loom. Much like I have.

That is all.

It's not the final location for everything, but this time it's geting done right.

I'm re-doing all of the earths and live's, re-running all of the wiring tidily, and putting the switches in to be able to manually turn off aux devices.

1) Voltmeter. I've had battery issues in the past. Just shove earth and live on it, and it'll give you a faint idea of whether the battery has fallen out of the bottom of the car or not.
2) Rob away
3) The screen slides open/forwards to reveal said doovd inserting area.
4) Needs extending :D Have already allocated it's position :)

I'll make the ac extension removeable by using a connector of some sorts. They can be bought from any motorfactors.

thats where ive stuck mine, switches that is.

also you gonna run the gauge wires over the dash? why not drill a hole behind them, thread it through a rubber grommet?

Yup. Guage wires are being threaded.

As for where you have put your switches, well my cowling covers that hole.

are you anygood with wiring diagrams sam as i need lots of wiring done on my ps13?

ohh and where you get the 3 gauge pod?

Yup. Without wiring diagrams it'd be all over the place :)

As for doing someone elses car for free? Not a chance. Wiring is a PITA, and you have to take your time and be real careful with it.

3 guage pod came over on the car. So Japan somewhere :D

Looks quality dude, if not a bit busy, can you reach the switches when your harnessed up? how about moving them back to behind the gear stick so their at your finger tips?

AWESOME IDEA. Thankyou.

Although I won't need to touch the switches while harnessed up. They are aux switches. For ancilliaries.

lol who said anything about free?>

could you not cut the dash and push the pod up through the hole and would make it sooo much smoother?

cut it into the cowling  i have and moved my hazard switch.

sx-si ill happily do PS13 wiring for small fees. ive recently redone nearly every wire in the car!

then you'd see the cut marks on the dash. It's quite hard to cut it as it is :)

it'll be fine like it is.

I'm not going to start making hole to thread the wiring through until i have some glue for the pod holder. Still trying to figure out which glue to use.

I got a 3 gauge holder the same as that.
I used double sided trim tape to fix mine on, and it hasn't fell off yet.

Also, I drilled a hole underneath where the gauge holder sits to put the wires through so that they're hidden.

if you used a single din dvd headunit then it would have allowed more space for gauges/gadgets/switches.

also theres a nice space on the roof to fit a switch panel if you have a non sunroof model.

with regards to sticking the pods down, b&q do some super sticky double sided foam tape stuff but you will need to clean both surfaces thorougly with brake cleanser for a strong bond

Lol, cheers norfy.

My original plan was no headunit, and a little mp3 player plugged into the amp, but this came up at a bargainous price :)

Re: sticking the pods down, I got some plastic glue today, but have decided on your suggestion of the super sticky double sided tape :)

when you use that tape i cant stress enough how super clean it needs to be to make a good strong bond, hence the brake cleaner.

and it needs to settle for a few days really.

think im gonna go down the no headunit route too, why dont you sell the dvd plaver, the weight of that must be quite a bit.

great car rubbish pic bud! choping the car in half poor!

spoke to a mate obvious the stopwatch thing is for timming up and down the mountain run's, the lights are norm for when out running the police over there they can't chase wot they can't see he spant a long time over there n say's it's a quite common thing out there to mod the rear lights to sperate switch also to lose anyone else you've pissed off two on the dark street n back roads!

They do some crazy shit out there I found loads of crap in my inner arches that has fallen right door in side the boot body cards you looked done there yet?!

I found money under the carpets :)

Haven't removed the boot plastics yet. Not sure I want to :D

Sorry about the pic. Someone else took it. I think they were being arty :)

Because I have had a stripped out c*nt of a car. It's uncomfortable, cold, rattly, no where to store shit, and wires hanging out everywhere.

It also makes it easy as pie to hotwire a car that has all of the plastics removed.

For the extra weight, i'm keeping my comforts. So when i'm driving to a bdc evt in teeside or something, the journey isn't too boring, as i have all my comforts.
