trading standards could have a case there. selling you something for a price only to change it without notice... not cool
 
Just found out about this not much i can do now as i have booked time off work and so on, will be demanding compensation for a change in product without prior notice, will not be going again if this is how they want to do business.

If this becomes a matter for trading standards i will post the info up so that you can all become involved.

Hope it will be ok on the day but not holding my breath.
 
Right read all your comments and i want to know how many of you have actually called lydden about this today.
A simple 'I called' post will do.
Theres no point moaning on here or on facebook lydden dont look at this site or facebook you all need to call them directly. As a guess i expect none of you have called to voice your concerns.

As for getting trading standards involed you'll just ruin it for all, Exactly what do you think will happen???? I can answer that for you, No more skidding at lydden hill. It wont be worth my time or the hassle for them of running these days.
 
I'll give 'em a ring tomorrow to see what's happening :s

Put things into prospective.

Lydden has already sold some, if not all the extra spaces.

So calling them will not change anything for saturday and maybe get you what- possibly a refund?

Well that's not cool as they originally booked it to skid!!

I'm not saying it is right, what i'm saying is theres no point in bitching about it on a forum they dont use, If people dont like it or feel hard done by then call lydden and make them aware of it.

I can already see whats coming 1 maybe 2 people will call up before hand or say something on the day about it, but sunday the 28th everyone will be up in arms and moaning on here about it at which point the day has been n gone and theres nout that can be done.

Just to add i have forwarded this thread to lydden to read, I'm not in the uk at the moment and didnt know anything of the extra group until someone mentioned it on here at which point i did email lydden to question them about it.
 
As long as I get to smoke 10 tyres im happy

Didn't know any thing about the noise test tho if I fail that ill be a tad pissed off
 
I think people with concerns should voice there opinion in the drivers briefing. Then lydden can see how many of there customers aren't happy. Lydden aren't stupid they can see how busy there drift days are now and I don't believe there not making money. No one wants to spend most of there track time sitting In queues on track.
 
May have my intermediate ticket up for sale. Will know 100% tomorrow evening if I can fix the car or not after tonights abuse at Essex...

Trading standards???? Get a life mate...there would be zero drifting at lydden if people started down that road :wack:

Me and 7 off my friends called erm but their managers not in untill tomorrow so they cant tell ya untill the last day before the event
 
anyone heard about lydden canceling the 5th group a few mates that booked late had a call and been given refund??? this is only word so wondered if anyyone had confirmation??
 
Definite. 5th group has been cancelled. Back to 4. Im sorry to hear that those that booked for the 5th group are now being let down, however for those of us that booked for 4, much better :)

Refunds issued to those that have booked for the 5th group. Big mess they got themselves into LOL
 
Just spoken to lydden and they said due to the amount of negativity and complaints about the 5th group they will definitely not be running it this time.

This doesn't mean they won't introduce a 5th session for future events though.

Lets bring this back to a good note.

I hope it's bight sunshine on Saturday like it is today, should be an awesome day as always :D
 
I got a call from lydden hill to go in the fifth group yesterday.

Then they rung me today and said the fifth group has been cancelled and they're giving me a refund.

The fifth group is 100% not running.

Yes i'm hacked off but yeah, i should have booked earlier.

Everyone can put their toys back in their prams now lol.

However, i'm gonna come tomorrow anyway as i'm only up the road so if anyone has a spare ticket or kills their car early in the day let me know.

Black e30 2 dr with a big gay wing and orange half cage. SOMEONE PLEASE SELL ME A TICKET!!!
