Team 307 BDC build

i may have missed it but what conversion front wings are you using and how was the fit?

these are charge speed front wings i have filled the indicator holes at the front of the wings. Got them from SRB power it was there last set but im sure they have more stock now. The fit is really good.

cheers for the info :) great build

Drift land was great nd it was really just a shake down for the car as ive never driven it "other than drifted it!!!!" suspencion was good lock was mega, need to set my damping better as i had it way to soft up front thinking it was going to have to much push on.

So problems

1. powerstearing pump not lining up with bottom puly so throwig belts, it also burst a braded hose on the pressure side never seen a goodridge hose get blown out the fitting before!!!

2. The clutch peddle was so hard i couldnt kik the clutch or hold the clutch peddle down long enough for handbreak entry

3. Locking back brakes when braking so have a bias issue

4. Its too damb loud so have to fit a silancer to meet noise regulations

On the plus side engine is spot on power is rediculous and the sound wow.

I will be more on it for the weekender at driftland

thanks got a few weeks to get everything together got a nismo slave cylinder ordered and hopfuly that will fix the clutch peddle issue. if not ill get a bigger master cylinder for the peddle box. just a few tweaks hope to get a fow more runs at driftland

ive loved following this thread, so glad it turned out so good, one of the best built cars ive seen on here!

Moved the power steering pump back 5mm it was misaligned with the lower pulley thinking its the wrong balancer. hope this will stop it throwing belts off

Had a play about with the peddle box think I might have sorted my brake bios issue. I had to much back brakes at driftland few weeks ago

My next outing will be at the driftland grand opaning weekender and ill be honest i'm still setting up the car and trying to get used to driving it!!!!

Awesome stuff dude, will see you there.

Did the nismo slave cylinder make a huge difference?

A friend had one on his R32 and made his nismo clutch peddle feel lighter than stock, awesome bit of kit tbh.

Yea will keep an eye out for you, the nismo slave has made a difference i have also ordered a 0.625" master to try see if i can make the peddle lighter still, i just have to check the bighting point first i dont want to have to push the peddle right to the floor to shift and clutch kick. Hope to test everything tonight but its all looking good.

The key to master cylinder and slave ratios is

Sorting tyres tonight and graphics to go on and we are just about there!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have much to do before driftland?

Larger master mean more force and less travel smaller master (larger slave) less effort and more travel. The best way to understand it is looking at a small bottle jack.

Cool, I spoke to you briefly last time but you looked well busy so i left you to it.

also looked like your car was setup very grippy, have you made many changes or leaving it alone?

Nope... almost nothing haha! my car has been so good to me this year after last years fail-o-rama all ive done is align the front more sensibly, down size my rear tyres and get more wheels. will probably be a lot of waiting around this weekend but 2 days in a row of skids is good value. planning on going to crail the following weekend for the thrash and some cheaper fun skids. if i make it throught this weekend of course...

Yea thats right i remember now think i was having power stearing problems and was a bit hectic, hope to have more of a chance to chill out this event, as you say two days of skids.

I have stiffened up the whole car a bit as you said it was way to grippy and i have also toed out the front a bit, i hope i have also fixed the brakes as it was locking the backs insted of the fronts and stalling the engine on corner entry.

Hope to be more on it this weekend!!
