The Classic Ford magazine/Chizfab Scandinavian style Capri drift project

why is it when someone fucks there engine they have to sit there and the rev the bejesus out of it??
almost like its going to get better or somthing lol

im no innocent to it myself:smash:

In my defence it had been suffering from over fueling/plug sooting problems, which I had found could be temporarily resolved by reving the tits off it..... Sadly it wasn't quite the case that time though, lol. :wack:

Car's looking awesome Ade. Don't suppose you'll be hitting Crail on the 17th? I'm planning an early morning assault then straight over to Knockhill to watch EDC in the afternoon.

Cheers! :wack:

Want to do both badly but got a shoot to cover at Kames down in Ayrshire that day....
Booo, missing out on Scotland's biggest drift day! :euge:

POP!

Some pix below from the Strathycruise trackday at Crail.
Did half as grip on street tyres, then later got some drift rubber on the rear for skids.

Pinto just wasn't having it though, throwing off a rocker three times as one cam lobe and follower suddenly became very worn

New BMW E36 rack as fitted by Chizfab seems to be a great mod though. Improved turn-in, more lock and no heavier than a standard rack with all the fluid drained. Will probably get powered up in the near future though.

Really want to get 200BHP+ under the bonnet though. I've still never had a car which can power over in the dry!!!

LOL..... that does seem to be the case!
Your chance to see a shed on epic rims! :D

Will also be on duty shooting the drag action for the mag too...

Big bowl of fail in Capri-land this weekend

I set off for the Classic Ford Show at Santa Pod where the shed was planned to be on show at the mag's main stand, but alas things didn't go to plan.
I only managed to get to the last services in Scotland before the both the bottom end knocks and the top end rattles coupled with massive pinking, overheating and a sticking starter just mounted up to be too much to deal with!

Trying to bump start it with myself and three guys pushing it was murder (one thing that isn't good about a welded diff!) so I decided enough was enough and headed back. Got so close to Chizfab, drift HQ before it gave up. Cheers to Kyle for the rescue!

All tarted up, and sitting beside my girfriend's XR2 which eventually took me down to the show instead!

Fail

One of my photo duties at the show was to get a mini feature on somebody making use of the 'sideways area'. Just to rub it in we featured a guy with a black Capri who'd recently used my 'how to weld a diff' feature to do just that to his, lol.

One of these will be sourced soon...... cheapest and easiest way to 200+BHP in a Capri :D
