trolley jacks - recomendations

yeah I always use stands when I'm under the car, but for quick rear wheel swaps I'll be relying on the jack under my subframe alone ;) thx for the feedback guys :thumbs:
 
Another Arcan one here

Good solid bit of kit, main point is its long & low, many of the ally ones are low but short so useless. It's also industrial spec, I've used mine every day for the past 3 years no bother & it still works fine. It is relatively heavy mind you 20kg I reckon.
 
I got a steel low entry from amazon recently for about £40, can't fault it so far although doesn't have the quick lift function you were after. Has a fairly wide chassis and seems very stable, also the lowering is easily controllable, great value I reckon.
It's also orange which makes it loads better obviously :nod:

There is a :euge: spangly version with LEDs in the saddle but I'd sooner spend the extra 20quid on a couple of decent work lamps

Got me this it works sweet under the diff. and its only 2" tall, lifts to about 12inches in one pull.

im sticking a vote in for the arcan 3tonne, got one about 6 months back for £90 from costco, not had loads of use from it but never had a problem, its bloody heavy to lift in and out your boot, but very rarely goes in the car so thats ok for me. does lift bloody high, i need to get new stands to make the most of it as my axle stands dont even hold it at half the jacks height.
 
Ive got one of those lightweight ally jobbies he does the job for wheel changes but the way it starts to lean over as it reachs its top i wouldnt trust it..
 
bump this thread up, anyone got a DIRECT LINK to where i can buy a low level arcan trolley jack?

please dont say costco or amazon or google, have searched and all out of stock.
