Driftworks GeoMaster Hub Knuckles

You do flip from side to side and upside down yes but no cutting required they just bolt up like stock.
oh yes i can picture that now. and the handbrake cables still reach fine?
is there and pictues of these installed with the drum handbrake fitted showing how the cable runs?
and what size sleeve do i need to run to make the sleeves the standard ID?

Ye, I'm not stupid mate. Since most other producers of "after market knuckles" can provide data on max steering angle and how they affect ackerman, I cannot imagine Driftworks won't be able to do just that. Not only because they're very serious in all other stuff they do, but also since they're by far the most expensive alternative.

If I want knuckles which gives me "parallell steering", or 0 ackerman, I'll buy knuckles which will give me that; hence I have to ask to make sure I buy the right knuckles, won't I?

Why am I in no position of asking how parts costing over £800 will affect the geometry of my car?

Edit: Great fucking atmosphere in these forums btw. Helpfull...

Omg he exploded. If you actually understood how the steering worked you wouldn't be asking this question, many things affect ackeman not just the knuckles alone, totally depends on your set up I.e rack position, about of toe in or out, caster blah blah.

Most others company's that make knuckles talk crap, how can you give a figure on something that is a variable that constantly changing.

And the atmos is great only one of us was getting upset and swearing via the keyboard, so if you don't mind, keep it friendly :-)

Clarkey

As above that ackermann question is impossible 2 answer depends on many other mods on your car. We will even adjust it at the track 2 speed up or slow front of car during drift. DW knuckles are good and the closest ultimate answer you can buy off the self.

Pretty much what we've said several times in this thread alone :)

Will it be possible to run the R33 D2 rearbrakekit and drum setup with the rear knuckles on my S14?
And are there any issues by converting to drum setup, or if anyone knows another way to maintain both pedal and handbrake operated big-rearbrakes?

monberg...out

Yep, you can run drum brake and any OEM fitment brake kit.
That's the best way to run both hydro and mechanical :)

Also, I forgot to add the pics of the Driftworks Offset Rack Spacers,

The rubber boot does go over them as well

hi dude.

VERY interested in the whole hub set up.

just a quick question. in the picture above is that JUST the offset spacer? just looking at the top picture it looks like an extra section is fitted inbetween the offset spacer and the rack end. or is that just how the rack looks?

also what is clearance like on lock when fitted to a decked car with standard arches? do you need to tub the arches?

help much appreciated! :D

Not sure what you mean by the clearance on a decked car as the hubs wont make any difference to that at all. You will have the same clearance as before just the geometry will be better.

That's just the offset spacer :)

Tubs are never needed (99% of the time), but you'll need to bash the inner arch with a hammer. Takes 5min.

He means lock clearance :)

yes as above. right cool! sweet.

is the extra lock achieved with just the spacer or the knuckles as well? i'm guessing both.

I had these questions and I'm a fussy bugger. But I've gone for it as I really can't see any reason why not to get them on any lowered datsun
