money no object i would go for enkei rp f1's
wot i want for my fc ( when i find another 1 u ^$%£$&!! :) lol )

how much u spent on it so far.. would b awsome if u could quickly make a small list of stuff u've done and the price when u've finish it.. give me some idea of wot i'm doing!

quickest build i think i've ever seen lol... still looks awsome 2!!

I'll dop a summary spec list after its at round 1.. but for now.. ive spent over 4 grand on everything.. parts, wheels, engine installation, BDC saftey gear, fully welded in UBER Spec cage, chassis repairs, materials for prep and paint.. everything.

Even tryin to build on budget isnt cheap. But not everything I bought could be considered 'essential'

Key to remember is BDC requires the cars to be presentable.. your sponsors want presentable.. and if (Like me!) your trying to attrack sponsors... it needs to look good. Thats where cost comes in.:smash:

Mate, all that for 4k is really, really good

ps - my vote is 9.5 x 17 torque drifts et12 (thinner spokes will suit FNs more than GTRs imo) - and rattle-can the red seat ftw. lol. (I like red seats tho for wot it's worth)

torque drifts? say wahh?

im pretty sure its over that.. but still close to it atm. also remember a few things got lifted from Yoshi.. so I've cut a few corners.

Update in 10.

Todays update: (21/03/2009)

Well… what a day… :Wack:

Tons of progress and prep for the cars trip to the spray shop tomorrow. I’ll try to keep the report in time-order but a lot of jobs crossed over as there was three of us working on the car..

Firstly after arriving and perving over matts new spray job (no you don’t get to see it haha!) we started off by removing the rear over fenders and while Mike Carter began to key up the roof and I attacked the driver side rear quater, Matt attacked the rear arch work with some proper sealer.. apparently my attempt was less than adequate. :wack:
DSC01871.jpg

After Matt had sealed both arches.. he prepped the rear spoiler holes for welding with the grinder:
DSC01872.jpg

Then Welded up the holes left by the spoiler and the rear badges:

He then smoothed the welds down with yet more grinding, flattened them totally with filler and finally sanded it down:

A pic from during the process.. Matt looking smug with himself:

BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER KIDS:

So Just before lunch.. the FC looked like this:

No more shiney sparkley bonnet! :(

Mike primered up a patch of crap paintwork on the roof once he had taken it back to metal:

At which point I then removed the rest of the kit to have it keyed up separately:

Note the s14 in the background:

A sign of things to come?? :D:D;)

While that was happening.. I let Matt loose with Halfrauds Satin black!!!!

Now although I have no Pics.. we also did most of the boot shut, the other doors and a lot of other bits.. Only one coat so its going be do done again but it’s good enough for now as its to serve a function..

Anyway..

All hoes filled and smoothed, all minor surface rust removed and flattened, behind the overfenders treated and blacked (so its not red if they come off or get smashed on a nightwalker :p and everywhere else keyed up.

Time for paintage!

PS….

During my time there.. the little fellow that spent his day with us got more and more er ‘excitable’ so in the end we took drastic measures..
DSC01893.jpg

We left a leg free.. were not THAT mean.. but then he carried on.. so we decided.. we were that mean…

I'll keep my eye out for cheap, decent wheels for you, 17" by 9/9.5". Sorrrrtad!

As for the seat - can you not just cover it in black dye, let it soak in, then spray with a hose to remove the dye? Then put in your bathroom with wall heater on to dry out...?!

You little fucker!! thats my lil cuz you tied up!!! Hel kick your head in when hios older!!:smash:

Good works thogh:thumbs:

can't wait 2 see how the paint comes out!!
