not that i dont respect it blah blah

but fighting for the country and being injured doing so...has fuck all to do with this situation.

As said by joe..severnside and julian are doing loads for the sport, i dealt with them only 2 weeks ago and recieved a top notch service so this is all really surprising

which just re-affirms the fact that i think we need to wait and hear both sides of the story

There are a lot of people in this thread with no strong opinions yet nothing to do with the situation???

^^ yeah, i totally agree what there doing for the sport is great!

and by all this im not directly having a go at them its not my money - im just trying to give the perception that this has on people like me the Driftworks community! the future/potential buyers.

Robbing of somebody thats bravely thought for his country and being injured doing so is extra wrong

i never got this!

right he was injured at war but if a lad down your local chip shop slipped and his hole arm went into the fryer, was awarded a lump sum in return and got ripped off in some sort of trade would you be as upset? at the end of the day they would both have been injured doing their job. and at the end of the day being a solider is a job (i say that at the risk of offending a lot of people on here but its true)

Defo need to hear both sides to the story! iv been done over in the past and il never trust any one in the motor trade and im in it my self :wack:

Sounds like a lejit story to me thogh, unfortunatly!:(
Meh, i may even put my company into my birds hasds so if the shit hits the fan i dont get a black mark on my name!! You lern some thing every day:D

yea but its a very important job which defends us, a chip shop lad is hardly going to go and defuse a bomb on a back of a school bus full of kids is he ;)
But as said it dont matter if you in the army, in school, or im my mum, you shouldnt be treated any differant in a situation like this coz of it!

Said like a true person thats never been in the forces:thumbs: You are right with one huge exception that a chip boy doesnt risk his life in his job. he doesnt spend months away from family and friends to be shown very little appreciation by those who sit in there homes sleeping safely.
I know im biased but if this guy has been ripped off with compensation money rewarded for being one brave bastard then i do think thats extremly harsh.

if you dont want do get set on fire, dont be a fireman...

I dont think Julian wants to bring this situation onto the forum, he has posted twice stating that. As far as im concerned, Julian is a sound bloke and IS doing a lot for drifting right now, supporting drivers, supporting media resources and generally working for the team.

The trouble with importing ANY car from japan, is that you are buying blind, auction or not. If you don't know that, you shouldn't be looking at an imported car, because whats on the paper is generally not whats in the metal.

I do understand your frustration and to be fair, i'd feel the same... pretty fucked off! But at the same time, you did buy blind and that is the risk. If you have pictures of the paint, please post them!

So what about them blokes on deadliest catch?

Seriously, if you dont want to get shot, blown up, lose limbs... then dont join the army.

nope iv nothing to do with the forces, i live in a neutral country that fights amongst its self enough with out having to worry about fighting some one else's war:nod:

Madness. It looks like alot of proof is there to be honest aswell. I mean if the car paid for was a 95 and its a 92, well that alone is clearcut regardless of any of the other details of bodywork, engine etc.

I also find Floyds responses very worrying. Driftworks is a massive forum and reaches most of the European drifting community, which is basically a large proportion of their customer base I imagine. To not even bother to word a proper reply and just dismiss these obviously well thought out and well backed up claims seems either an attempt to sweep it under the rug, a seriously bad judgement, or just plainly an insult to alot of members on here in my opinion.

Severnside Imports seems to be doing pretty ok for itself at the moment I imagine. If it shut down and set up in a different name etc etc and this is all true (or atleast most) then this will seriously tarnish that I'd presume. I know that if I was the owner I would do everything I could to disprove this and to protect my company and my own good name. Unless I couldnt of course?

Eh,Holy Shitballs Batman!!

To Start,Im in the Motortrade both here and UK based,Across the board its Crooked as fook in Car Sales,Most definate in the Import end.

By reading this Julian has actually made no effort in any such way to defend one bit of it which I find strange,I also cant imagine the OP putting this together like he did for no apparent reason either.

Theres no smoke without fire and this thread is liable to put a lock down on air space for 12months the way its going.

It seems there is a clique on here and as Mitto is a personal friend it seems of Julian I dont see it fair of him to moderate the thread in any manner.

Should Julian be so sure of himself to be in the right let him defend himself on here if hes confident enough to go legal with it.

With regard to the OP's job and injury its not relevant in any manner.
But at the end of the day he handed hard cash over for a 95 car and was given a 92 which Julian had admitted the fuck up....

I dunno what to think of this,Julian I think there may be a seat on the Irish government benchs as Financial minister,Cant be any more or a liar or gangster than the ones before ye!!!

I think your far to biased towards Severnside dude. Just because you buy blind you deserve to be sold the wrong year of car and in completly different state?? i dont think so:no::no:
Im not taking sides but Julian isnt doing himself justice to the dw community but I will let the facts speak for themselves.

Meat head i like you dude but seriously as regards to the forces/life you dont have a clue. If we lived in your world we wouldnt have a armed forces. Nobody wants any of those things to happen. They do it for a job they love and they dont expect to get screwed over for it.
Anyways Im not getting into this debate as it warrants a completly different thread.

need to hear both sides of the story...cant wait:wack:

like we need to.............bye bye sevenside

Its nothing to do with a "clique" its to do with tha guys that are at the events, making it happen and helping out. I am a friend of Julians, so im putting some words in, before a linching happens and i think my comments are fairly inflamatory. You will also notice, that this thread has not been moderated by myself or anyone else, because thats not what this forum is about.

I think "far too" baised is a bit strong... Im confused by the situation as i know Julian and find the whole situation very odd. Hence, saying something. Thats fairly normal id say?

Thats just insulting. I have family members that are in the forces, they dont bitch and moan about the shit they do, because they signed up for it. I've seen people pissing blood from their eye sockets and yes, its horrifc, but thats life.

Also, you are on a boat that fires missiles at people with 20 year old guns from a few hundred miles away... so brave.

We've all gotten little surprises on bodywork etc with importing cars but recieving a car three years older than the one you agreed to buy, and telling him he should have taken it is an absolute insult to the OP.

I couldnt care if he fathered your wifes Kids,As a moderator its up to you to stay neutral.

Like I said,There no smoke etc,Without getting into hard facts the guy advertised a 95 car and delivered a 93,Now I dunno how UK laws are but over in Ire it falls under a "Sale of goods act".

He didnt provide what he originally got paid for which in turn warrants a refund.Case closed without having to dig deep!

Not going to get into this argument as its not the time or place.

Will just add one remark though, you tell that to the guys who served on the Coventry, Sheffied, Atlantic conveyor etc etc I find that remark very insulting to those guys and the memory of those who didnt make it back.
Im proud to serve my country and be part of the Royal Navy and ill be honest there has been times on this deployment I have been genuinly scared due to the events that were occouring.

Not on driftworks son! Im not going to sensor my opinions because it makes you blush, thats for the sxoc. Im a mod on here for a reason! :dw:

So if Julian is such a great business man and doing so much for Drifting explain why he didnt offer the refund when cleary he agreed he fucked up in the advertising of the car?

To be honest I'd be ashamed to defend a joker like that.
Says alot about your character.
Anywho,Bedtime kids.
