I went drifting again... this time, last sunday at Teesside... I feel like I've drifted Three Sisters alot recently so wanted a change, and I also wanted to try the car at Teesside, as I haven't driven there with the turbo lump etc etc...
We had a lazy morning and didn't set off until like 8am, so didn't get to the track until 10am and then we had to unload etc, we were all signed up and on track by 10.30am, and quickly realised how spoilt we were at Three Sisters with no queues lol...
Spent most of the day on National(big track) trying to dial in my line as I know one of the upcoming Driftcup rounds is here, so I presumed they will be running the BDC/Driftcup line from last year.
Was going well, and Owen was chasing me in his 1UZ Mk1 Mx5, and then I hit the tyres at Clip 3 with my rear bumper a bit too hard...so it was flailing around...
Turns out it was in a few more pieces than it previously was
and I also put a dent in the passenger rear pocket which will be knocked out
I also had a few lead/chase runs with Bizz(LS Powered 350z - BDC Driver) - His car is mega fast and he also runs 265 Tri-ace tyres so I'm surprised I could keep up at all!
The rest of the time was just spent practicing my line, and the car works a treat! 3rd gear all round the bank and then into 2nd for the first hairpin, through to the 2nd hairpin then mid-way through the 2nd hairpin, shift up to 3rd and flat out and it just pulls!! I love it!
I do have onboard footage I need to go through and sort, I think this time though I'm not gonna make them as long, just pick a few of my best runs and throw them together...nowt special.
Overall had a cracking day, the car was flawless again and I can't wait to be out there again, might have been invited to do some more demo's at Three Sisters on 10th March so that will be fun!
I also got sent this pic which I think is pretty cool, just the car sitting in the pits looking battered.
