Fruitbooters S15 (Refurb time)

Few recent photos of the car -

I managed to re-fit the skirts after about a month or two on the road as I thought I was in need of new clips but turns out I had just enough to put them on. Also removed some gay horns that were in the front bumper not sure if you can see them in any previous piks but yeh anyway theyre gone!

Car is running fine still, nothings fallen off and I havent died, and im sure some people I know my mom included thought this was a slight possibility after what they saw me doing during the year

Car needs a service soon when I can afford it, needs the gearbox oil chaning for some thicker high quality stuff, needs new disks and pads and an oil and filter change, im hoping to do this during the winter.

Im still trying to save for new wheels atm, im hoping I can fetch mabi 200-300 for mine? But to do that I need spares to go on...

The car is also in need of a full detail and paint correction, if anyone feels like doing it give me a shout

looks sweet mate really well done and ur taken time to do the hole under side , just need to be lower then will look so much better mate

Really nice work underneath! To much effort for to little gain if you'd ask me to be honest.
But you have coilover right? so why is it in 4x4 mode?

Its on Kei Office coilovers but the fronts are pretty corroded and may be a pain to lower. The main reason though is as its only on 16s the underside and exhaust already sits quite low to the ground so lowering it to a point that looks decent would no doubt cause problems on a daily driver.

If you say that about yours, i have to think mine has never seen a real clean in is life... :wack:
Your car looks mint!

Cheers

deffently not too much effort since in 5 - 10 years time this s15 wont need any welding. And if kept in the same condition worth quite alot more.

Would love to do this with my car but the ammount of abuse it gets there would be no point. Needs welding up underneath anyway lol.

saw this driving towards me the other day down in warstones (although id be unrecognisable driving a big transit) looks very clean.

also i recognise those mot ramps lol, mr tyre wolves if im not mistaken is chadd still overly blond? good bunch of loonies down there

wow , great thread and effort done on the s15 .

how many man hours did u take to accomplish this? damn i wish i have the skills to do the same.

Anyone of u s15 lovers ever took such effort to restore the car like this?

Well I started it in January (car came off the road end of December) and it was MOT'd, Tax'd and back on the road at the start of August

It took this long because i was only spending about 2 mabi 3 nights a week on it and I also had to wait to be paid so I could order stuff etc, and also I had to wait like 2 months for brake lines and a while for bushes..

Seems ages but I was hoping to get it done so I could go to Japfest but time goes that quick the months just flew past!

Will be some updates soon

At least when it comes to be sold it will be a genuine rot free s body unlike most of the bodged shite that's sold now days ,, love the work mate just spent the last 30 mins reading this!
