YAS! I was super excited for this event to kick off to be honest. Whilst they were drifting, we were drifting @ Driftland and then Crail the following day.. only to get home on Sunday night to start seeing all the coverage from BOUT! Rocking it.
Here's my take. There is a small group of people I have personally met.. and a larger group internationally.. who drift (like all us) who have a certain passion to achieve something more than just a silvia with loads of lock and some whatever wheels can be found.
This has been noted by alot of people and one of those people was Gary Boyd. He organised the FINAL BOSS event souly for this reason. To combine the drivers and cars of this to one place. Then FINAL BOUT got announced.. it was the same thing.. but in the US! So bigger.. more cars.. more awesomeness.. An American group of likeminded drifters with style in mind.
The UK overall is really embarrasing. Its been so since the start.. each time I come across another BDC / UK Comp car.. I was to spew in my mouth.. Covered in irrelevant sponsors and really badly designed graphics it just makes them look shit.. tie that in with the fact that everyone has a million and one reasons to NOT slam their car and there you have it.. shit looking typical jeep spec BDC cars.. tie THAT in with everyone here pulling on handbrakes for days and you got the UK scene.
Times need to change.. people need to seriously put some effort into their cars and make them look decent.. cause hardly any of them do. FINAL BOSS will be back to Scotland though ...
I was speaking to some of the drivers of BOUT and there's been mention of making it an International event..
Probably closest we got in the UK! These dudes were killing it all weekend AND their cars were sick.
Also Dan's car was on par.
