any ideas?

good for you if you do but why would you want a 4wd car for drifting and youd be very lucky to get a evo and insure it if you even could on a 15k budget

Insurance would take up more than your 15k budget...... and of course you had already put alot of thought into it and decided to buy a car that was very unsuitable for drifting!

Come back when:-

A: You can drive

B: Your not an idiot

Hey guys dont know if its already been coverd but i have a c33 laurel and my first drift day is in a week, i was just woundering what would be the best and easiest technique to use to start drifting as this is my first time! =)

cheers!

I am New to drifting, I am 17 and live in New Zealand i Have owned my pride and joy 1982 Nissan Fairlady for about 6 months i have done afew mods to it like Tein adjusties in the back, shaved bumpers, but want to drift it but with just an L20e it doesn't like it very much.. I was thinking either RB20DET or just getting an AE86 all together. How easy is it to drift an NA ae86 4age with just little mods like Adjustable suspension, exhaust, intake etc?
What do you guys think i should do, sell the fairladyor RB it? Will it be a very difficult car to learn in anyway?

Starting to drift

Hi there am new to drifting and have booked up for a dwyb day at Santa pod on the 23rd of October just wondered if it was a good idea and if anyone from here will be there aswell so maybe could get some help on the day I have an s13 pretty much standard apart from mongoose exhaust induction kit springs and uprated spark plugs will that be ok or will it srtuggle thanks

Hi again just did the first drift day went ok lerarnt a lot and had great fun car went well but needs a bit more power I think all in all good day

Wow, the newbie area is really weird.

Hello newbies

Whatever you do, don't:
1 - ask what car to drift
2 - ask why you can't post in the for sale section
3 - try to organise a cruise

and you'll all fit in just fine. Search button is up there at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Read the guides or use the search button its all been covered a mirrion times....

My god, you sound more stupid than the person asking the question :smash: you come into this thread thinking everyone would automatically know everything about drifting?

Hey, as you posted this quite a while ago, im guessing you have your answer, if you dont.... The C33 is quite a big bus, you can work that in your favor by learning to weight shift. In the most simple form this is flicking the car one way then flicking it back the other way (throw a clutch kick in for good measure) this will unsettle the car into breaking traction. (if you really are new... a clutch kick is where you keep the throttle pinned and then kick the clutch down quickly and back up straight away)

My lord, im in a friendly mood today :D
