New to drifting?

I am thinking about getting an M3

I am planning on getting a BMW M3 (when they come out with the new V8).
How adept is this car to drifting? I plan on tuning it, making it a lovely fast car, but what should I know before i go at it?......or is there a far better drifting car i should look at?
Thanks

I think some American has too much cash on there person!

And dude, what do you mean, you will make it a lovely fast car! Surely the new V8 M3 will be far quick enough!!!
Christ, the first and last M3's ever made all have plenty of power and are fast in std form!

If you can't wait..you can always pick up one of these which is already available (pic. from Essen Motorshow 2006)

Don't get an AE86 till you're good - you don't want to stack it. Cheap and rear wheel drive eg Volvo 340, Mercedes 300te will do for a beginner.

alright guys! my s13 is only a set of brake pads away from being on the road but apart from a straight through exhaust and an air filter its pretty much stock. whats the best mod to go for first? more power or sort the handling set up first?.......i have about £500 to spend
