the gates will be open as normal for our weekends between 8:30 9ish on this day.
Sunday gates open at 7am
start briefing at 9am and practice will start 9:25 for a few hours
qualifying and finals to follow
There is space to camp but there is also a really cheap hotel ,around £27 per room i think .
your cars and trailers will be very safe in our locked and cctv covered paddock , if however there is anybody camping we will also have a member of staff on site all night , you do not need any expensive race suit just a fire proof overall and helmet gloves are optional . food and drink is available from our on site bar/cafe
if you wish to only do the Sunday you can but the price will remain £120
if anybody has any more questions please contact myself or David Wilson either via inbox or face book or call on 07918193764.

What about practice on the west track on the Sat? I'd be happy to get down for 9am if practice on west track is avail.

As the competition is held on the national track we thought it would be a waste of tyres to be on the west track? Although if the track is available im fine with it, i'll have to run it past my dad though before I can confirm.

NORTHERN DRIFT CHAMPIONSHIP
TEESSIDE AUTODROME

This championship has been designed to be an entry level drift competition. If you have done a few practice days and want to compete, but feel you are not yet up to speed to enter The British Drift Championship (BDC), then this could be the place for you.

We are proposing to have 3 separate classes as outlined below.

Novice and Semi pro
when you qualify you will be either top half of the grid semi pro or bottom half of the grid novice

Pro
This is the only class where you can twin drift as in other competitions. Therefore all cars must be prepared to the highest of safety standards such as full cage, harness and fire extinguishers. Only BDC Pro license holders or invited Semi-Pro drivers are allowed to enter this class.

All championship rounds shall be held over two days. The first is a practice day with qualifying and the finals all being on the second day. As this is a new championship the rules and regs will be changing and growing with it these will be published as soon as possible
all will be available on our web site

All rounds are to beheld at Teesside Autodrome on the following dates

March Saturday 24[SUP]th[/SUP]and Sunday 25[SUP]th[/SUP]
May Sunday 6[SUP]th[/SUP]and Bank Holiday Monday 7[SUP]th[/SUP]
August Sunday 26[SUP]th[/SUP]and Bank Holiday Monday 27[SUP]th[/SUP]
November Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th bonfire final .

The cost will be £120 per round and will include both practice and competition day.

no offense meant here jennifer but you've managed to paint two very different pictures here. the opening post talks of two days drifitng , now your saying it's 3 hours on saturday night. thats not a day to me thats an evening session. it's all a bit vague.

and even though i'm not driving i'm annoyed because i booked a hotel room with 2 mates on the friday night too to ensure we could get there early and be fresh. this now seems like a waste of money and time , especially for folk who are taking time away from their families to travel to this.

Have managed to sort out drifting on the Saturday from 1 pm on the west track going on to the national track from 4p until 7pm.

When you have alot of people traveling from far and wide you have to run a format which ensures they don't miss out I felt by running the Saturday as a late session this would be better for everybody traveling meaning not having to get up at 4am or using holidays from work to travel im sorry your upset by me trying to please everyone again.

Whats the chances of getting on west track from 10am-4pm, then National 4pm-7pm for those who want it?
I'd rather get down early, then I dont embarrass myself as much by not being able to reverse the trailer, I'm shit at it. lol

I've emailed the registration form aswell.

Hi Jennifer thanks very much for organising this, it's something for a long time the folks north of Birmingham have been crying out for.
I appreciate it's not easy, and you will never please everyone.

I for one cannot wait to return to teesside, it's my favourite track by a long way.
I'll be sending my form in tomorrow!!

As John says the ideal situation woud be west track from 10-4pm then the big one from 4-7pm on the Saturday.
A wee hark back to the days of eurodrift and early bdc.

For those of us who booked a hotel as soon as the first post went up it would be good, as otherwise we would be trying to amuse ourselves in teesside for several hours.

Additionally it let's there be more of a social aspect to it, as you can park up for an hour and watch/chat to mates (or more likely try and fix what you have broken)

Either way thanks for organising this, really looking forward to it.

Kev

Im not stopping you all turning up early on the Saturday gates open at 8:30 you can get there get set up and fix your cars but the track is not going to be open before 1pm due to 2 reasons firstly karting secondly me not being able to get chilldcare until 12. On Saturday. But as soon as im there and everyone is signed in I will open the west track.
